Montreal, September 29 (QNA) – HE Minister of Transport Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti met with HE Minister of Tourism and International Transport in Barbados Senator Lisa Cummins on the sidelines of the State of Qatar’s participation in the 41st session of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Assembly.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries in the transportation, transport services, and civil aviation fields, and ways to enhance them.

After the meeting, the two countries initialed an air services agreement, allowing the national carrier to expand the network of destinations to reach more global destinations.

The agreement was signed by Mohammed Faleh Alhajri, in charge of managing the Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), on the Qatari side, and on the Barbadian side, by Director of Civil Aviation Tracey Forde-Bailey.

On the sidelines of Qatar’s participation in the 41st ICAO Assembly, the country is participating with an introductory pavilion, where the Ministry of Transport and QCAA will review the vital and pivotal role that the State of Qatar plays in the aviation industry and the prominent achievements of the aviation system in the country.
