Muscat, October 04 (QNA) – The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) issued Tuesday No. 567 of government treasury bills with a total value of OMR 9 million, for a maturity period of 91 days, from Wednesday until Jan.14 , 2023.
In a statement, the bank said the average acceptable price was OMR 99.266 and the lowest acceptable price reached OMR 99.260 per OMR 100. The average discount rate and the average yield reached 2.94585 percent and 2.96765 percent, respectively.
The interest rate on the Repo operations with CBO is 3.75 percent while the discount rate on the Treasury Bills Discounting Facility with CBO is 4.25 percent.
Treasury bills are a secured short-term financial instrument issued by the Oman’s Ministry of Finance to provide investment outlets for licensed commercial banks. CBO acts as the issuance manager for these bills.
