Tripoli, October 03 (QNA) – Turkey and Libya signed today a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the field of hydrocarbon energy with the aim of developing the exploration and production of oil and gas.
The MoU signing came during the visit of Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu currently to the Libyan capital, Tripoli.
The MoU provided for strengthening cooperation between the two countries in practical, technical, legal and commercial aspects in the field of hydrocarbons, oil and liquefied gas.
The Libyan Government of National Unity explained in a statement that the MoU aims to develop projects for the exploration, production, transportation and trade of oil and natural gas, the exchange of experiences, training and the establishment of companies between the Libyan National Oil Corporation and its Turkish counterpart.
