Doha, October 03 (QNA) – In the presence of HE Minister of Social Development and Family, Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, the Qatari Womens Sports Committee inaugurated today, at its headquarters, an artistic mural painted by a number of Qatari artists, as part of community participation and promotion of the historic event, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which will be held during the period From November 20th to December 18th.

The event was attended by members of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Women’s Sports Committee, in addition to Qatari artists Sheikha Ali Al-Kuwari, Fatima Mohamed Al Nuaimi, Fatima Abdullah Al Khalaf, Hessa Abdullah Al-Kalla, Mona Hashem Al-Sada, Bakhita Mubarak Al-Sada, Batoul Jaafar Al-Dahnin and Saadia Abdul-Samad Ahmed.

The event witnessed the participation of the affiliates of Shafallah Center for Children with Special Needs in drawing on a special mural for them as part of their contribution to the promotion and celebration of the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Chairman of the Qatar Women’s Sports Committee, Lolwa Hussein Al Marri said that the Qatari Women’s Sports Committee was keen to contribute to the promotion of this historic event by organizing some football-related events during the coming period.

For her part, Assistant Secretary of the Women’s Sports Committee, Maha Yousef al-Abduljabbar, confirmed that the Committee has always been proactive in community participation, and now it is participating in a mural of drawings about the World Cup with the countdown to the start of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Maha Yousef Al-Abduljabbar explained that a number of Qatari female artists painted a number of wonderful paintings on the murals, indicating the World Cup and expressing its many aspects, noting that the Women’s Sports Committee always contributes to all major sporting events in Qatar. (QNA)
