Doha, October 10 (QNA) – The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA), in cooperation with the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, organized a training program on “modern leadership strategies,” on the days from Sept. 26-28, Oct. 3-5, and Oct. 9-10.

The program, which was allocated for managers and heads of departments, discussed the best international practices of leadership diplomacy “patterns and theories,” in addition to discussing the concept of leadership management and its functions, modern administrative leadership change, thinking skills, the importance of continuous improvement of the performance of the institution, modern administrative leadership skills and methods of development, the integrated system for the positive transformation of institutions, as well as exercises, applications, workshops and panels of discussions from the actual work environment.

The training program axes included: an introduction to smart leadership, change management and positive transformation, best leadership and management practices to build leadership thought in the organization, and problem-solving to overcome obstacles within the occupational community.

In exclusive remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Director of the Human Resources Department at the ACTA Saad Mohammed Al Misned said that the training program is based on the 2021 signed memorandum of understanding, which stipulates setting training programs to develop and enhance the skills and executive abilities of the authority’s employees, providing specialized vocational training, holding joint seminars, holding conferences and workshops, and other common interest areas of cooperation.

He elaborated that the training program, which is the third to be implemented in 2022 with Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, aims to exchange experiences among the participants, identify several models related to smart leadership and its applications, and review experiences and success stories in this regard.

This program comes within the framework of the development plan pursued by the ACTA to enhance the capabilities of public officials, raise their efficiency, and provide them with the knowledge that raises their scientific and practical skills in fields of integrity, transparency, and anti-corruption, which contributes to building an important bedrock in Qatar National Vision 2030 represented in human development.

The ACTA developed educational and training programs to raise the awareness of Qatar’s employees, train them to use advanced methods to detect corruption and prepare them to cooperate with the authority in that field. The ACTA, in cooperation with national training centers and institutions, has implemented training courses and programs in various fields including integrity and transparency, work ethics and job behavior and promoting the culture of reporting violations and conflict of interests.
