Doha, October 19 (QNA) – The Qatari Publishers and Distributors Forum at the Ministry of Culture participated Wednesday in the events of library professionals that fall under “Read to Lead” program within the initiative of “Qatar Reads” of Qatar National Library.

The event took place in Msheireb with the participation of a broad range of entities, publishing houses members in the Qatari Publishers and Distributors Forum, including Dar Rosa for Publishing and Distribution, Alif Stores, and Dar Nawa through pavilions where a wide range of releases from each publishing house are rolled out.

In addition, Library professionals is a festival for self-development and spires to help bring together the like-minded individuals at the same place to share their ideas and expertise with others, while the self-development and ambition are spearheaded by the erudite people to be further supported for the sake of improving themselves and use the reading as means of professional and personal development.

The library professionals comprises three sections, the first is professionals’ talk which is a venue dedicated to communicating through selected individuals who embody the books via enriched individual discussions, while the second section is the professionals’ forum through which some individuals participate to present events on the stage through performing interesting talk and discussions by inspiring leaders in Qatari community, the third section is special pavilions for each library through which Qatari books and releases are rolled out, specially the books that enable the public to self-help and development.

Acting Deputy CEO of Exhibitions and Marketing and the Director of Centralized Exhibitions at Qatar Museums (QM) Reem Al-Thani addressed the topic of multidisciplinary profession and the how one person can operate a number of diverse disciplinaries through reading, emphasizing the importance of reading in self-development and the promotion of culture.

For her part, CEO of Rosa Publishing House Dr. Aisha Jassim Al Kuwari told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that Rosa Publishing House is participating in the event with a combination of releases and professional books relevant to self-development, pointing out that Rosa has been committed to providing 37 releases that range from scientific books to novels that are relevant and in commensurate with this event, underlining the joint and persistent cooperation between Rosa Publishing House and the initiative of “Qatar Reads” of Qatar National Library through sharing the releases and engaging with the authors.
