Pristina, October 19 (QNA) – Qatar Charity laid the foundation to establish two major health centers in the Republic of Kosovo with a cost of QR10 million in the presence of HE Ambassador (non-resident)of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Kosovo Ali bin Hamad Al Marri, HE the Prime Minister Albin Kurti, HE Minister of Health Dafina Gexha-Bunjaku, in addition to several officials in Kosovo.

During the foundation stone laying ceremony for the two centers, HE Ambassador Ali bin Hamad Al Marri underlined the State of Qatar’s keenness to document the cooperation ties between the two countries, saying that he will steadfastly work for the continuation of the support, especially the premium projects of Qatar Charity for the benefit of the most needy categories and the Kosovar community.

For his part, HE the Prime Minister in Kosovo hailed the efforts of the State of Qatar in supporting the Kosovo people, noting the constructive role undertaken by Qatar Charity in implementing the qualitative development projects that contribute to upgrading the community’s abilities, calling for the continuation of the support in other qualitative projects in all Kosovo regions.

For her part, the Minister of Health in Kosovo thanked the efforts of the State of Qatar in supporting her country, especially in the health sector, expressing her delight for these two projects that will upgrade the level of health services, praising the role played by Qatar Charity in implementing the qualitative health projects for the service of the community.

CEO’s assistant for the International Operations and Programs sector at Qatar Charity Nawaf Abdullah al-Hammadi said that the two health projects are gifted by the Qatari people in support of their brothers in Kosovo, affirming that Qatar Charity will continue fulfilling the needs and requirements of the Kosovo community in permanent cooperation and coordination with the state institutions in Kosovo.

The two projects encompass the establishment of a health center in the district of Gilan Province on a total area of 370 square meters, where the center comprises family medicine, ultrasound and dental clinics, in addition to laboratories analysis, pharmacy, training hall and other facilities with a cost of approximately QR 2 million, while the cost of establishing a health emergency center in Podujeva amounted to nearly QR 8 million.
