Doha, October 22 (QNA) – The Ministry of Municipality, represented by the Department of Mechanical Equipment, in cooperation with Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), organized an interactive training workshop entitled “Together we save a life”.
The workshop included training to save the life of someone who is exposed to cardiac arrest, through a set of steps, especially the use of hands with proper pressure on the heart, and the safe use of an external and automatic defibrillator device.
The speakers at the workshop called for providing an automatic defibrillator device in all ministries, institutions and companies, and training security and safety teams to use it when necessary.
The Director of the Department of Mechanical Equipment at the Ministry of Municipality Sherida Sultan Al Rumaihi, stressed the importance of such workshops in achieving sustainable development and supporting capacities in the areas of health, security and safety.
He pointed to the need to educate employees about the importance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and the correct use of an external and automated defibrillator. (QNA)
