Brasilia, October 23 (QNA) – The Palmeiras defeated Avai 3-0 in the Brazilian football league.
Palmeiras’s goals were scored with a penalty by Gustavo Scarpa in the 4th minute, Eduardo Pereira Rodriguez in the 55th minute, and Vanderlan Barbosa in the 90th minute.
With this win, Palmeiras raised their score to 70 points at the top of the standings, while Avai remains in the 19th place with 21 points.
In other matches, 4th-placed Corinthians beat 10th-placed Santos 1-0, while 3rd-placed Flamengo beat 8th-placed America Mineiro 2-1. (QNA)
