Doha, October 27 (QNA) – The Ministry of Labor, in cooperation with the US Department of Labor and in coordination with the US Embassy in the State of Qatar, organized a training workshop on occupational safety and health.
The organization of the workshop, held during the period from Oct. 25 to Oct. 27, came within the framework of a memorandum of understanding signed between governments of the State of Qatar and the United States in the field of labor.
The workshop discussed the main requirements of employers, workers and labor inspectors in identifying and addressing the construction sector risks, such as heat stress, accident-related practices and identifying their root causes, as well as occupational safety and health regulations for dealing with heat.
