Doha, October 29 (QNA) – HE Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HE Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Finland Ville Skinnari, and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting touched on discussing economic and commercial relations between both countries, the means to enhance them, the investment climate, and opportunities available in both countries, and the possibility for Qatari and Finnish businessmen to establish joint investments.
Addressing the meeting, QC Chairman praised the close relations between both counties in commercial fields, noting that the Qatari private sector is looking forward to boosting cooperation with its Finnish counterpart, especially in the sectors that require advanced technology.
As for trade volume, HE Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani said that the two countries bilateral trade volume reached QR 395mn last year, compared to QR 381mn in 2020, an increase of 4 percent.
His Excellency further indicated that there are many Finnish companies operating in Qatar in various sectors like tourism, medical sector, lifts, and cosmetics, stressing that the Qatari market highly welcomes Finnish companies and that Qatari businessmen are eager to learn about the investment opportunities available in Finland.
