Paris, October 30 (QNA) – French defender Raphael Varane confirmed that he is training hard on his way to be ready to participate with France in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which will be held from November 20 to December 18.

In a statement today, Varane, who had suffered a leg injury, said that he is training hard at the French national team headquarters at the Claire Fountain Training Center, and he feels better.

Varane, 29, is not expected to play any game with Manchester United until the start of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, as he was substituted in pain during the match in which his team drew with Chelsea on October 22 in the English Premier League.

The French team will play its World Cup matches in Group D, along with Denmark, Australia and Tunisia, and will start its first match against the Australian team on November 22 at Al Janoub Stadium. (QNA)
