Algiers, November 01 (QNA) – Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatari “Estithmar Holding” Company Moutaz Al Khayyat expressed his appreciation for HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the Peoples Democratic Republic of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune for laying the foundation stone of the Algerian-Qatari-German Hospital today.

He stressed that this reflects the keenness of the two leaderships to encourage partnerships between the countries.

Al Khayyat said, in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), that this project demonstrates the depth of the Qatari-Algerian relations, and supports Qatar National Vision 2030, as well as promote the development of the health sector in Algeria, which would drive growth and promote sustainable development.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Estithmar Holding” indicated that the capacity of the Algerian-Qatari-German hospital to be established in Algiers reaches 400 beds and serves 100,000 patients annually.

He stressed the company’s keenness to develop this great medical edifice according to the latest technology in the world of health care, with a focus on the foundations of human care and excellence in accordance with international standards. He also emphasized the full commitment to provide an exceptional and humane service that takes care of the patient in the first place and contributes to providing a better healthy lifestyle.

He explained that the hospital’s role is to strengthen the health care system at its various primary, secondary and specialized levels, in addition to advanced specializations, intensive care for difficult cases, specialized ambulance services, family health and medical care.

Last October, Estithmar Holding signed a memorandum of understanding with the Directorate of Health and Population of Algeria to establish the Qatari-Algerian-German Hospital through its specialized healthcare company, Elegancia Healthcare.

The agreement to build a modern hospital, with an Algerian-Qatari-German partnership, was reached during the visit of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Doha last February.

At the end of the same month, President Tebboune assigned the government to establish a follow-up committee for the implementation of the project and the rest of the huge Qatari investment projects, which seek to remove administrative obstacles and provide an atmosphere for the implementation of the investment projects that were agreed upon during the visit.
