Doha, November 03 (QNA) – Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) organized Thursday the open day event for the postgraduate programs for prospective students in Qatar and worldwide for the academic year 2023-2024.
The event, which was organized online, provided an opportunity for the students to take the next step through pursuing their postgraduate studies and get familiarized with the global academic programs offered by the university.
In addition, HBKU set February 1,2023, as deadline for the international applicants to submit their enrollment applications in the Autumn 2023, while the deadline for the Qatari and resident applicants (By determining their eligibility for the scholarships offered based on excellence) will be on March 15,2023 and the application will be closed on May 15,2023.
The event that was held under the slogan “Our Future is here”offered sessions directly coincided with the six colleges, where deans of the university colleges and the teaching staff presented an academic overview and in-depth information about the features and research opportunities that make the university programs unique, where the universitys admissions team spoke about application requirements, details of merit scholarships and financial aid, while representatives from the Student Affairs Department provided a glimpse into university life at HBKU and Education City.
The Students were able to interact with all the speakers during a discussion session to ask questions and receive answers through the live chat service.
University Vice-President Dr. Michael Benedek welcomed the attendees talking about the universitys tradition of educational excellence and its focus on multiple disciplines, as well as research priorities that include sustainability, precision medicine, artificial intelligence, social progress, and progressive education, which intend to address societal challenges.
