Jeddah, November 03 (QNA) – The Ministry of Sports and youth participated Thursday in the 9th meeting of the GCC and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Joint Working Group in the youth work, hosted by the Ministry of Sports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the participation of the GCC and Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Ministries of Youths and Sports and the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Director of Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth Fawaz Al Misifari and head of the youth centers department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth Mubarak Al Dosari represented the Ministry at the meeting.
This meeting comes within the framework of the existing strategic dialogue between the GCC and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and in implementation of the GCC Supreme Council decision to strengthen strategic partnerships, including the partnership with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in addition to directing to intensify efforts to implement the joint work plans that were agreed upon within the framework of these partnerships.
During the meeting, they discussed several issues of common interest related to the youths field, including a diploma in youth work practice (qualifying youth leaderships), the joint programs and activities to be held during 2022, and discussing the mechanism for developing them in line with the future needs and aspirations of young people in light of global changes.
They also agreed on several joint programs and activities between the two sides during 2023, in addition to reviewing issues of priority and common interest between both sides, which aim to enhance and develop the existing dialogue in the youth field.
The issued recommendations will be submitted to the next meeting of Their Highnesses, Excellencies Ministers of Youth and Sports in the GCC countries.
