Sharjah, November 03 (QNA) – Several Qatari publishing houses- including Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Al Watad, and Qatar University- participated in the 41st edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair with a variety of their publications. The fair kicked off Wednesday and runs through Nov. 13.

In an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Executive Director of HBKU for publishing Bashar Shabaro highlighted the HBKU Publishing House’s first participation in the fair, saying their participation in international book fairs in general and in the Sharjah International Book Fair in particular, seeks to reach out to a wider range of readers and establish more fruitful partnerships in the Arab countries.

He stressed the houses keenness to provide a wide range of its publications in Arabic and English to the largest possible number of readers and in all Arab and foreign markets, where the house offers books for different age groups and in various fields, including childrens books, novels as well as educational, cultural, social, sports and self-development books.

Dar Al-Watad Sales Manager Amira Al Refai, said in a similar statement to QNA that Dar Al Watad is participating in the Sharjah International Book Fair 2022 with a wide range of new and distinguished publications that suit different age groups, pointing out that the house is keen to be present in various regional and international exhibitions to introduce its new publications and publish various novels and books, including stories, scientific, legal and cultural books on a large scale.
