Doha, November 04 (QNA) – The Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) has released the 105th issue of (Qatar; Monthly Statistics) bulletin for the month of September, which showed M2 supply increasing 11.4 percent YoY to QR 688 billion.
One of the most prominent changes in this issue is the increase in the general index by a positive month-on-moth change rate of 1.22 percent compared to August 2022 also it increased at an annual rate of 6.1 percent (compared to September 2021). The largest increase was in Entertainment and Culture category with 6.03 percent, compared to the previous month.
The demographic statistics revealed that the total population of Qatar has increased from 2.64 million at September 2021 to 2.99 million at September 2022.
Regarding to Vital Statistics, 2252 live births have been registered during September 2022. Also, an increase in the total Qatari live births by 25.3 percent comparing to last month. On the other hand, 230 deaths were recorded during the same period, an increase of 0.4 percent compared to August 2022.
Moreover, September 2022 witnessed a monthly increase of 16.4 percent of total marriage contracts and a monthly decrease 5.8 percent of total divorce certificates compared to the previous month. The total number of marriage contracts reached 369 marriage contracts, while the total number of divorce certificates reached 226 cases.
As for the Social Security statements, reached 78 Million Qatari Riyals in September 2022, for 14452 beneficiaries, Recording a monthly decrease of 0.8 percent for the value of social security and a monthly decrease of 0.4 percent for the number of beneficiaries of Social Security.
Total electricity consumption during September 2022 was 4278.2 GWh attaining a monthly decrease of 29.0 percent and an annual decrease of 16.0 percent. While the total water consumption has reached 32768.2 Thousand m3 during the same month attaining a monthly decrease of 44.7 percent and an annual decrease of 43.0 percent comparing to September 2021.
As for the Banking Sector; Total Broad Money Supply (M2) recorded about 688 Billion Qatari Riyals during September 2022, an annual increase of 11.4 percent compared with September 2021.
On the other hand, cash equivalents; including Commercial Bank Deposits, attained for 965 Billion Qatari Riyals during September 2022. The figure has recorded an annual decrease of 1.1 percent compared to September 2021, when deposits recorded approximately 975 Billion Qatari Riyals.
Regarding the data of buildings permits issued, the total number of permits has reached 884 permits during September 2022, recording a monthly increase of 12.8 percent and an annual increase of 20.1 percent.
The total number of registered new vehicles during September 2022 has reached 8367 new vehicles. The figure showed a monthly decrease of 5.3 percent while showed an annual increase of 13.3 percent.
Traffic accidents cases without counting the accidents without injuries, a total of 803 traffic cases were recorded during September 2022, showing a monthly increase of 17.2 percent and an annual increase by 31.6 percent.
Light injuries are accounted for most traffic accidents cases during the same month, with 92 percent, followed by severe injuries by 6 percent. However, 16 deaths were recorded, equivalent to only 2 percent of total traffic accidents cases.
As for tourism, the total number of inbound visitors reached about 151 thousand, recording a monthly increase of 2.0 percent (compared to August 2022) and an annual increase of 126.0 percent (compared to September 2021).
The highest number of visitors was from the GCC countries at 45 percent. As for visitors by type of port, the visitors via Air make up the highest percentage with 61 percent of the total number of visitors. (QNA)
