The State of Qatar is the first country to obtain international accreditation for public health services at the national level from the American Public Health Accreditation Board after the United States of America.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Public Health organized an honoring ceremony for a number of contributors to the State of Qatar’s obtaining international accreditation for public health services.
HE Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Thani said that success requires a lot of hard work and continuous support, as all possibilities have been used to obtain international accreditation for 5 years by the American Public Health Accreditation Board.
His Excellency added that the commitment to obtain the accreditation of public health services in the country will not stop at the date of issuing the American Board’s decision on August 18, but will go beyond it to the long term by making accreditation requirements an integral part of daily work.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Public Health, in its approach to public health, relies on a common vision with all major partners from various sectors in order to ensure health and wellness in society, and therefore the ministry uses strategies for disease prevention, protection and promotion of health, including health education, in order to help individuals protect their health and their families.
