Berlin, November 06 (QNA) – Gareth Bale, captain of the Welsh team, is racing against time to recover his technical readiness from a recent injury for the World Cup, confirming that he is not a hundred percent ready to participate in the World Cup after the injury he suffered a few weeks ago, which kept him off the field for ten days. Now he feels better, Bale told press Sunday.

He pointed out that many players were excluded from their national teams due to injury weeks before the start of the tournament, so he was trying to confirm full readiness, and now he is restoring his physical fitness.

Bale, 33, led his Los Angeles team Saturday to be crowned the American League title, when he participated as a substitute and managed to score an equalizer in overtime against the Philadelphia Union team to make the score 3/3 and then win the penalty shootout.

Bale is set to lead his country in their second appearance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar when Wales team play their 1st match against the USA on November 21 in Group B. (QNA)
