Tunis, November 06 (QNA) – The Tunisian national football team headed this evening to Dammam, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for a training camp that will continue until November 13, which is the last stage of preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
A number of players will join the camp in Saudi Arabia, while the rest will join the team directly in Doha after the end of their commitments with their clubs.
Tunisian national team Coach Jalal Al Qadri announced yesterday a preliminary list of 16 players to participate in the camp in Dammam before traveling on November 14 to Doha for the World Cup.
The Tunisian team’s list included: Mouez Hassen, Aymen Balbouli, Aymen Dahmen and Bechir ben Said (goalkeeper), Yassine Meriah, Bilel Ifa, Nader Ghandri, and Ali Maaloul (defense), Ghaylen Chaaleli, Ferjani Sassi, Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane and Saad Bakir (midfielders), Youssef Msakni, Naim Sliti, Seifeddine Jaziri and Taha Yassine Khenissi (attack).
After the camp, the Tunisian team will head directly to Doha to face its Iranian counterpart in a friendly match.
On November 14, the Coach of the Tunisian national team will reveal the final list that will participate in the World Cup finals in Qatar, which is the last date set by the International Football Association (FIFA).
The Tunisian team will play its matches in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in Group D alongside Denmark, France and Australia, and will start its sixth World Cup participation and the second in a row, by facing Denmark on November 22.
The Tunisian team had played three friendly matches with the teams of Chile, Japan and Brazil as part of the first phase of preparations. (QNA)
