Doha, November 06 (QNA) – Qatar Stock Exchange index started trading Sunday with an increase of 127 points, or 1.03 percent, to rise to the level of 12.433 points, compared to its closing last Thursday.
The Stock Exchange data released today attributed the recorded growth to various sectors, as the banking and financial services sector rose by 1.87 percent, the insurance sector by 1.48 percent, followed by the industries sector by 1.11 percent, the transportation sector by 0.97 percent, and the communications sector by 0.81 percent and the consumer goods and services sector by 0.60 percent, while the real estate sector decreased by 0.05 percent.
The Qatar Stock Exchange recorded, at 10:00 am, transactions worth QR 72 million, distributed among 31.097 million shares, with the implementation of 2221 transactions. (QNA)
