The meeting was represented by HE Director of Legal Affairs Department Sheikh Ahmad bin Nooh Al-Thani.
The meeting discussed the progress made in the partnership works, including the findings of the taskforce since the last meeting of the steering committee, in addition to the strategic roadmap of the partnership 2023-2024, reviewing the governance guidelines manual, and the establishment of the steering committee for the partnership mandate during 2023-2024.
The meeting highlighted the promotion of cooperation between the law enforcement agencies, criminal justice authorities and the sports organizations in line with the updated international orientations on the importance of the concerted efforts at the local and international levels, in pursuit of protecting sport against corruption.
In addition, IPACS is the fruit of the commitment it pledged to provide in the Anti-Corruption Summit that was held in London in 2016, as the partnership was fostered in early 2017, as an international initiative that aims to combine between various stakeholders from the international, sport and governmental organizations, states governments and others to promote integrity, combat corruption, foster the culture of integrity and compliance in the sport sector.
