London, November 09 (QNA) – American player Chris Richards, defender of the English club Crystal Palace, announced, on the social media, his absence from the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 due to injury, calling it a sad thing.
Richards suffered a leg injury and did not recover in time to fly to Qatar in less than two weeks, in a time the US team is about to announce the list of players participating in the World Cup.
He also said that will support his colleagues in the matches, wishing them the best of luck.
US national team coach Gregg Berhalter is preparing to announce the team’s 26-player roster, with the United States playing in Group B along with England, Iran and Wales. (QNA)
