Doha, November 09 (QNA) – The Embassy of Bosnia-Herzegovina in the State of Qatar donated a selection of books on Bosnian culture to Qatar National Library, as part of the efforts of cooperation between the two sides in the cultural fields.
The books, which were received by HE the Minister of State and President of Qatar National Library Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari from HE the Ambassador of Bosnia-Herzegovina to the State Abdullah Skaka, and Advisor to the Bosnian Embassy Ivana Begovic in addition to representatives of the Bosnian community in Qatar, deal with many fields of knowledge which enriches the library audience’s knowledge of the history and culture of the Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
HE Dr. Al Kuwari commented on this occasion, saying that the gift embodies the importance of books as a basic vessel for knowledge, and its role in consolidating the bonds of cultural understanding between friendly countries. He referred to the historical relationship between Qatar and Bosnia-Herzegovina, which adds to the given books a special value as a precious gift.
Al Kuwari added that the donated books cover many topics, disciplines and fields that will help the community in Qatar to enrich its knowledge of Bosnia-Herzegovina and its people, as they are added to the books that reflect the cultures, sciences and knowledge of other countries between the two countries.
Qatar National Library is keen, within the framework of its mission to unleash the imagination, encourage exploration and refine the spiritual side of the human being, to invest in efforts and initiatives to spread knowledge and empower future generations in and around Qatar. (QNA)
