Doha, November 09 (QNA) – Qatar Stock Exchange index started trading Wednesday, with an increase of 0.14 percent, adding 17.48 points to rise to the level of 12650 points, compared to Tuesday’s closing.
The data issued by Qatar Stock Exchange attributed the improvement in the performance of the general index to the rise of most sectors. The communications sector rose by 0.52 percent, followed by the bank and financial services sector by 0.27 percent, the consumer goods and services sector by 0.23 percent , the real estate sector by 0.14 percent, the industries sector by 0.08 percent and the transportation sector by 0.05 percent, while the insurance sector index decreased by 0.44 percent.
At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded transactions worth 55.873 million riyals, distributed among 19.666 million shares with the implementation of 1977 transactions. (QNA)
