Doha, November 10 (QNA) – beIN MEDIA GROUP has announced the launch of its new sports news channel at midday Nov.11, 11 years after its first ever broadcast.

The leading channel in the Middle East and North Africa for sports news will be broadcast from a new and modern studio, in the heart of Doha.

The Arabic-speaking channel will witness a new start in terms of form and content, with new set of exclusive programs produced specifically for the channel, in addition to more than 40 correspondents for news coverage in various countries of the world, and a distinguished elite of presenters. This renewal will include an update of digital channels, to make them easier to browse for millions of followers.

The channel will also provide hourly live newscasts, along with continuous analysis and featured content in HD, and as part of its goal to enable and expand access and inclusion for all, its evening bulletin will be released at 8pm in sign language.

beIN Sports is the official broadcaster of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in the Middle East and North Africa, so the news channel’s content during this period will focus on news related to the tournament.

After the World Cup, the content will become more diverse to cover different sports, allowing viewers to follow the 24-hour newscast as usual, as well as sports analysis and other exciting channel content. 

Managing Director of the MENA channels at beIN MEDIA GROUP Mohamed Al Badr said the re-launch of beIN SPORTS News Channel in its new look represents a new and important phase, highlighting the channel’s efforts to offer an excellent streaming experience, particularly ahead of the World Cup. 
He added that the channel sees the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 as the beginning of its plans amid continued development and diversification of its content, promising the channel will be a key news source for the latest sports news 
  The CEO of beIN MENA Mohammad Al Subaie toured the new studio equipped with the latest technologies and welcomed the media professionals, stressing beIN’s well preparedness for covering the tournament.  
  Speaking exclusively to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Al Subaie said the channel is in full swing for a daily 18-hour live coverage, adding that their reporters will be in all fan zones, tourist areas and all stadiums across the State of Qatar to cover all the events. 
  He highlighted the channel’s policy to have a diversity of broadcasters in line with the World Cup, voicing hopes that this new group of presenters will grip the opportunity and represent a great addition to the channel’s current crew. 
Al Subaie also voiced hopes that Qatar 2022 will showcase strong technical levels, stressing that all World Cup teams are well prepared for this global event.
The Manager of News Output at beIN MEDIA GROUP, Ali Almslmani said that the launching of the new sports news channel was the outcome of long and stressful efforts exerted by all beIN SPORTS group officials and employees.
    It is not just a new studio, and it is not just a new form, but there is a new beginning, a new spirit for the channel, new faces and new content, Almslmani said. 
He reiterated that the channel’s group of correspondents will be deployed to all World Cup stadiums and events to air the interaction of the 32 teams participating in the tournament, expressing hopes that the channel would succeed in its live and on-the-hour coverage.  

The channel will provide to the viewers hourly newscasts, as well as live streaming and recorded content. In the run-up to and during the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, from Nov. 11 to Dec. 18, the broadcasted content  will include a wide range of programs as follows:    
   Dedicated World Cup newscasts to cover all developments and breaking news, with live coverage of the tournament, including teams trainings, footage from fan zones, live coverage from teams accommodating hotels, and many more. 
The channel will also provide programs broadcast throughout the day, including the most important of which is “Huna Qatar”,(Here is Qatar) a three-hour morning program which review all the events of the previous night, allowing viewers to know what they may have missed. Also, the World Cup Numbers: is a program which takes a detailed look at the great statistics and records of players, teams and matches.

    Then “I Am the World Cup”: a program which presents the World Cup from the point of view of fans. 
    “Doha Time”  A program which reviews Qatar’s traditions and culture, including tourist areas, interesting facts, and more. 
  In addition to continuous coverage in the social media sites through the pages of beIN SPORTS news network to keep followers up to date with the latest developments, with a new color coding system allows easy browsing of news as follows:
  Green: The results of the end of the match will appear under the heading “End of the match”. And yellow: Live stories will appear under the heading “Happening now”. And Red: Non-exclusive news stories from our reporters will appear under the heading “Last News”. Purple: Exclusive news stories from our correspondents will appear under the title “First Source”.
