Doha, November 13 (QNA) – The private education sector of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education confirmed that the private schools affiliated with the Ministry, which implement the “STEM” program, were able to achieve tangible results, with their graduates landing seats in top universities, and jobs in the most important institutions and workplaces.

In its report, the private education sector clarified that the private schools affiliated with the Ministry and applying STEM are doing so within the framework of its keenness to keep pace with the latest educational programs, especially STEM, which is a foundation program for later specialized educational stages aiming to meet both short and long-term requirements of education outputs from generations of students.

Other schools have gradually incorporated the program into their educational systems.

It is noteworthy that the STEM program specializes in the four subjects from which its name is derived, and these are Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and is one of the most important programs aimed at qualifying students in the field of engineering, medicine and technology to join the best local and international universities.

Many private schools that implement the program have noted its importance in terms of discussing with and guiding students via learning and cooperation activities in partnership with teachers from various disciplines, as well as partnerships with community institutions. The program enables students to examine scientific concepts through real-life learning experiences designed to develop critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, as well as encourage students to discover, design and create solutions to problems through using an interdisciplinary approach.

Other private schools explained their adoption of an internally developed and customized support mechanism with the help of specialized trainers, in order to enable the implementation of the program in a unique and age-appropriate manner, by setting clear goals and options, allowing waiting time, avoiding abstracts, instead keeping matters precise, all of which contribute to successful and meaningful growth for students, as well as empowering them to become innovators who master knowledge and skills necessary to find solutions to the challenges facing Qatar and the world.
