Doha, November 14 (QNA) – Khor Al Adaid Nature Reserve, which lies next to the waters of the Gulf in the south of the State of Qatar, provides an ideal destination for tourism during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, through hunting adventures, safaris and water sports.

Khor Al Adaid area is also called the “Inland Sea”. It is one of the largest, most amazing and ecologically diverse nature reserves in Qatar. It is one of the few places in the world where the turquoise blue sea waters embrace the golden sands of the desert to give visitors the opportunity to create unforgettable memories.

Khor Al Adaid Beach provides a comfortable and calm environment, where the beach becomes much like a resort on the shore of a lake in the morning.

The region is inhabited by a unique group of fauna that includes several species which are internationally rare and/or threatened, for example dugong and turtles, with populations of certain species of bird being of national and regional importance.

Khor Al Adaid is also inhabited by certain flocks of birds of global and regional importance, such as the long-distance migrant waterfowl. Visitors may also encounter ospreys, cormorants, pink flamingos, desert foxes, antelopes, gazelles and oryx.

This charming attraction of the largely uninhabited area is complemented by the presence of wild plant and animal life, adjacent to a marine ecosystem characterized by diversity and high sensitivity.

Regarding ecotourism in Khor Al Adaid area, Qatar has made the appropriate preparations for receiving the large numbers of visitors who will come to Doha during the World Cup. It provided tourist points in this area to serve as parks, and also recommended the importance of preserving the Qatari environment, and its rich ecological and biological diversity.
