Beirut, November 14 (QNA) – Lebanese artist Shawki Dalal has finished two paintings, embodying Qatari heritage on the occasion of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The two paintings depict a scene from Souq Waqif and fishermen’s boats on the beaches of Doha.

Shawki said in a special statement to Qatar news agency (QNA) that the two paintings came in recognition of the leadership of the State of Qatar as the first Arab country to host this international sporting event.

He praised the ongoing renaissance in the State of Qatar in various fields, including the cultural and sports fields, pointing out that he intends to complete his artistic paintings that embody the Qatari heritage.

The Lebanese painter stressed that the Qatar World Cup is an achievement for the entire Arab nation, as it is being held for the first time in the Arab world, and constitutes a global center of attraction that invites Arabs to be proud.
