Doha, November 16 (QNA) – The Qatar Stock Exchange index started trading Wednesday down by 0.41 percent, by six sectors, to losing 50.54 points and thus fall to the level of 12,357 points, compared to Tuesday’s close.
Figures issued by the Qatar Stock Exchange pointed to a decrease in the performance of the consumer goods and services sector by 0.71 percent, the industry sector by 0.68 percent, followed by the insurance sector by 0.62 percent, then the real estate sector by 0.33 percent, the communications sector by 0.30 percent, and the transport sector by 0.13 percent. On the other hand, the banking and financial services sector rose by 1.07 percent.
At 10:00 am, the Qatar Stock Exchange recorded transactions worth QR55.115 million, distributed to 18.055 million shares, with the implementation of 1601 transactions. (QNA)
