Tehran, November 16 (QNA) – The Qatari men’s beach volleyball team, of Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan, current No.3 in the FIVB world ranking, qualified for the second round of the 2022 Asian Senior Mens Beach Volleyball Championship in the Iranian city of Bandar Abbas, with the participation of (30) teams, including three Qatari teams.
Cherif and Ahmed qualified after their victory today over Thailands Dunwinit Kaewsai and Intuch Techakijvorakul, (21-09- and 21-12), this comes after victory yesterday against the Chinese duo Wang Y. W. and Ch. W. Zhou (21-16, 23-21).
On the other hand, the Qatari women’s volleyball team lost to its Kuwaiti counterpart, 0-3, today, in the first West Asian Championship in Jordan. (QNA)
