Doha, November 17 (QNA) – Argentina national football team arrived in Doha Thursday to participate in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 which is due to kick off on Sunday.
The two times World Cup winner (1978 and 1986), which reached the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 with no losses in its last 35 games, remains one of the major candidates to win the trophy.
Coach Lionel Scaloni had announced the Argentina World Cup squad as follow:
Goalkeepers: Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa), Franco Armani (River Plate) and Geronimo Rulli (Villarreal)
Defenders: Gonzalo Montiel (Sevilla), Nahuel Molina (Atletico Madrid), German Pezzella (Real Betis), Cristian Romero (Tottenham Hotspur), Nicolas Otamendi (Benfica), Lisandro Martinez (Manchester United), Juan Foyth (Villarreal), Nicolas Tagliafico (Olympique Lyonnais), and Marcos Acuna (Sevilla)

The 22nd edition of the World Cup will be the last World Cup for the 35 year old Messi, who won the Ballon d’Or seven times.
