Through the corridors of this house, the visitor explores how the manifestations of slavery have spread in civilizations over thousands of years, and learns about the role played by Islam and its impact on the system of slavery and its urging to liberate slaves. The Bin Jelmoud House also provides an opportunity for visitors to express their commitment to combating human trafficking in its various manifestations.
As for the Mohammed Bin Jassim House, which was built by the son of the founder of the modern State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Jassim Al Thani, the house allows the visitor to coexist with stories from the past and the present, as it takes its visitors on a journey of contemplation between Doha’s past and the original architectural heritage and addresses the principles of sustainability that the Msheireb Downtown Doha project which is centered around achieving.

Msheireb Downtown Doha has one of the highest concentrations of gold or Platinum LEED for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certified sustainable buildings, making the destination one of the highest concentrations of LEED-certified sustainable buildings. The sustainable city district received 32 Platinum certificates and 42 Gold certificates.
