Doha, November 21 (QNA) – Tunisia and Denmark will play their first matches in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 against each other on Tuesday (tomorrow) at the Education City Stadium, within Group D competitions.

The Danish team ‘De Rod-Hvide,’ which is participating in its sixth World Cup finals, which will be facing its Tunisian counterpart, aspires to play well enough to be given a strong impetus to play the rest of the matches in the group. De Rod-Hvide will play its second match against France next Saturday on Nov. 26, while it will face Australia in its final match on Nov. 30.

The Danish team has chosen Retaj Salwa Resort & Spa in Doha as its headquarters during the World Cup tournament.

Denmark includes some of the most prominent football players in the world, led by Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen, Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen, Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and Milan defender Simon Kjaer.

Denmark succeeded in qualifying for the World Cup Qatar 2022, after leading Group F in the European qualifiers for the World Cup, and the team was only defeated once during the qualifying period.

As for ‘The Carthage Eagles,’ the Tunisian team hopes to achieve an ideal victory in its match against Denmark, which will be The Carthage Eagles’ sixth time in history to play in the tournament – aspiring to qualify for the second round.

The fact that this year will mark the team’s second participation in a row in the tournament, represents a good omen for the Tunisian team, after its absence from the 2010 and 1014 editions of the tournament.

In its second match, The Carthage Eagles will play against Australia at Al Janoub Stadium on Nov. 26, while it will play against its French counterpart on Nov. 30 at the Education City Stadium.

Tunisia’s victory will rely on the performance of some of its major players, including Wahbi Khazri, Youssef Msakni, Hannibal Mejbri, Ellyes Skhiri and Aissa Laidouni.
