Doha, November 21 (QNA) – Mexico coach Gerardo Martino believes that FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Group C, which includes Mexico, Poland, Argentina, and Saudi Arabia, is a tough group and that tomorrow’s match will be crucial for them to progress to the knockout stage.
In the official press conference of Mexico Vs. Poland match, Martino said that Mexico is going to play its three group matches to win and collect as many points as possible to qualify for the knockout stage, stressing the importance of achieving a positive score in tomorrow’s match against Poland.
He added that they are expecting to play their three group stage matches the same way. That will depend on the rival’s game plan, too, and the players’ capability to achieve positive results, especially since good performance only may not be enough to qualify.
Mexico coach indicated that Argentina is the Group favorite and that the Saudi team has shown a good performance during their preparations camp and had enough time to prepare for the tournament, in addition to having a huge fan base in Qatar, the neighboring country. (QNA)
