London, November 23, (QNA) – Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2025.
The Spaniard has been in charge at Man City since 2016. He has won nine major trophies, which includes four Premier League titles.
Guardiola said in a statement from the club: “I am so pleased to be staying at Manchester City for another two years.”
“I know the next chapter of this club will be amazing for the next decade. It happened over the last 10 years, and it will happen in the next 10 years because this club is so stable. From day one I felt something special being here. I cannot be in a better place,” he added.
As well as the league triumphs, Guardiolas trophy haul at City includes one FA Cup and four League Cups, and they were Champions League runners-up in 2020-21.
City are currently second in the Premier League table, five points behind leaders Arsenal, and will face RB Leipzig in the Champions League last 16. (QNA)
