Doha, November 24 (QNA) – Uruguay and South Korea played out a goalless draw on Thursday in Group H opener in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 at Education City Stadium.
The match saw both sides missing a lot of goal-scoring chances, particularly in the last minutes .
With the points being shared, both teams await the Ghana-Portugal clash later tonight to decide the Group H standings.
The South Koreans were on the front foot at the beginning of the game, creating troubles for the Uruguay’s defense.
The first real scoring chance was in minute 19 when Valverde was about to strike from Gimenez’s long pass, but his shot was deflected just wide of the post. (QNA)
