Doha, November 27 (QNA) – South Korea coach Paulo Bento confirmed that he and his players do not feel any pressure before facing Ghana, tomorrow in the second round of Group H competitions in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
“We know that we will face a strong opponent who has players who are active in the English Premier League. It has a strong defense, and played a good match against Portugal,” Bento said in the pre-match press conference.
He added, “The Korean national team also has an offensive force that it seeks to exploit, especially with the presence of the fast winger Son Heung-min.. We have a great challenge ahead of us to penetrate Ghana’s defense, and we must take advantage of the opportunities that we will get to win.”
The Portuguese coach explained that the match is very difficult, but the Korean team will play with great enthusiasm and cohesion, to achieve the first victory after a draw in the first match with Uruguay, stressing that he does not feel pressure before this confrontation.
The South Korean coach revealed the absence of the player, Hwang Hee-chan, for lack of readiness, while Kim Min-jae will undergo a final medical test today to determine whether he will participate in the match or not.
For his part, Hwang In-beom, the South Korean national team player, said that he and his teammates are full of desire to achieve victory over Ghana and collect the three match points.
He added, “I know very well the capabilities of the Ghanaian players, and I hope that we will win. We have to prove our capabilities. We know what we have to do, and our chances are great to win the match.”
