Doha, November 28 (QNA) – The Ministry of Culture organized, within the activities of the Cultural Diversity Festival, held on the sidelines of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the Mauritanian community day, which was marked by a rich program that reflects the cultural and artistic diversity of Mauritania.
In his speech on this occasion, Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the State of Qatar Mohamed Abdulaziz Mohamedou congratulated the State of Qatar on the success of the opening of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and the good organization that demonstrates the success of the State of Qatar in organizing a world championship with an Arab identity.
He also praised the cultural character that marked this tournament, as the State of Qatar allocated many cultural spaces for this occasion, which showed the Arab-Islamic character of this tournament, and enabled the fans of the participating teams to introduce their cultures.
For his part, Head of the Mauritanian Community Office in Doha Abdel-Fattah Mokhtiri said that the Mauritanian community has expressed, on all occasions, its loyalty to the State of Qatar in support, willingness and readiness for everything that would enhance efforts for the success of all pioneering Qatari initiatives in the Arab world and on the global level, stressing that this day is characterized by the common features between Qatar and Mauritania, which are the cultural and religious special aspects that have remained a strong bond which strengthened and consolidated over the years thanks to the common and sincere will of the two brotherly countries.
He indicated that the Mauritanian community expresses the important aspects of the relationship between the two peoples by informing the audience about the Mauritanian culture. The cultural program of the Mauritanian community also included the presentation of various aspects of the popular Mauritanian culture that reflected its diversity and inclusiveness of the various walks of life in its nomadic and urban dimensions.
A presentation was made about “Al Mahdara Al Shanqitiya” (religious school), during which the audience learned about the method of authentic education in Al-Mahadhir (religious schools) and how to prepare students from the stage of infancy to the stage of memorizing the Holy Qur’an, texts and jurisprudential interpretations.
The Ministry of Culture also organized, as part of the “Cultural Diversity Festival” activities, the Filipino community day, which was marked by a rich program that reflects the cultural and artistic diversity that characterizes the Philippines.
It also hosted a similar day for the Indian community, which included various artistic performances covering classical singing that reflect the flourishing of these lyrical colors in a certain period and how did these arts extend up to the present time without knowing a break with the current generation.
