National Day/ Qatar Poetry Center Holds Poetry Evening in Darb Al Saai

Doha,November 28 (QNA) – Qatar Poetry Center “Diwan Al Arab” held Monday a poetry evening in Darb Al Saai within a series of the cultural symposiums associated with the events and celebrations of Qatar National Day, which corresponds to December 18 every year.

The evening was opened by poets Mubarak Al Khalifa, Zayed bin Cruz and Hadi bin Saif, with a wide range of poems, including patriotic poems.

Director of Qatar Poetry Center Poet, Shabib bin Arar Al Nuaimi said that the participation of the center in the events of the national day in Darb Al Saai intends to propagate the spirit of values, ethics and promote the national identity via literature through the distinguished poems recited by poets, adding that the center will offer 6 poetry evenings during the events of Darb Al Saai, as well as a symposium that addresses the poem and role of poets in the community with the participation of an elite of senior poets in the community.
