Moscow, November 29 (QNA) – Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced today that Russian Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) supplies to China increased by 32% in 10 months of 2022.
Speaking at the 4th China-Russia Energy Business Forum, Novak added that Russia continued its negotiations with China on the implementation of another major gas supply project – the “Power of Siberia-2” project for supplying Russian gas through the territory of Mongolia, whose capacity is expected to reach 50 billion cubic meters annually.
In another context, CEO of the Russian company Rosneft Igor Sechin announced today that the volume of coal supplies from his country to China, during the past 10 months, amounted to 53 million tons. This places it as the second largest supplier of coal to China, after Indonesia.
Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed earlier that Russia is open and interested in dialogue with China on energy.
