Doha,November 30 (QNA) – HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change Sheikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al-Thani paid a visit Wednesday evening to the permanent headquarters of Darb Al Saai in Umm Salal Mohamad area accompanied by HE Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Thani, who is also Chairman of the Organizing Committee for Qatar National Day (QND) 2022, through which he was briefed on the National Day events, which falls on December 18 of each year, and is held this year under the slogan “Our Unity Source of Our Strength”.
During the visit, the minister get familiarized with the most prominent participations held on the occasion of the national day, including the “Al Rawda” pavilion which includes an event with the same designation for MOECC in Darb Al Saai which organizes many events and activities, along with various competitions that specifically target different age groups in pursuit of spreading environmental awareness, including the most important services offered by MOECC to the public.
This year’s event was divided into four sections that include wild trees and plants, along with other sections that include the Arabian oryx, gazelles, ostriches, houbara bustards, and rabbits.
HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change lauded the events in Darb Al Saai and the efforts made by the organizing committee, commending the meticulous organization and the excellent showcases aimed at demonstrating numerous aspects of Qatari history, heritage and values to be introduced to the Qatari people and visitors of Darb Al Saai through these events that mark Qatar’s hosting of global football feast the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
