Doha, December 07 (QNA) – The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra held Wednesday an open-air concert on the Doha Corniche amid a large fan turnout.

Held on the sidelines of the ongoing FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the concert was held in cooperation with the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy.

The concert saw football fans interacting with the most famous football songs such as Shakira’s “Waka Waka”, “Queen – We Are the Champions” and the traditional Qatari football song “Come on, come on” and many others performed under the leadership of the orchestra conductor, Johannes Vogel.

The concert was performed in to two stages– the first kicked off at 7:30 pm, and the second at 9:30 pm.

The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra uses these concerts to support Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) in promoting the heritage and culture of Qatar and the Arab world as well as promoting social participation. (QNA)
