Doha, December 08 (QNA) – The Katara Mosque has become one of the most important and prominent attractions for tourists who attend the World Cup-associated activities at the Cultural Village Foundation- Katara.
Visitors expressed their happiness for visiting the mosque which embodies a landmark of Arab and Islamic culture and heritage, noting that their visit offered them an opportunity to be introduced to the Arab and Islamic culture and its human values and moral principles.
Elaine, from the US, said she was happy with the hospitality she found everywhere, stressing that she felt more secure and safe in Doha than she did in New York. Qatar offers an image completely different from the misconceptions promoted against it in the media, she said.
Julia, another visitor, expressed her admiration for the Arab and Islamic culture and her happiness with the peoples’ sincere good morals, authentic traditions and the distinctive culture and heritage.
Mashael Al Shammari from the Qatar Guests Center highlighted all tourists’ great desire to learn about Islam, Arabian culture, customs and traditions, as well as their feelings of respect and gratefulness for hospitality they found everywhere.
Preacher and imam of Katara Mosque Sheikh Muhammad Makki said that the majority of tourists from Europe and Latin America admired the construction and the artistic architecture of the mosque, highlighting the passion they had when hearing the call to prayer. He also expressed his happiness with the resonance and wonderful impact the call to prayer achieves in the hearts and souls of foreign visitors. (QNA)
