Doha, December 10 (QNA) – HE the Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the State of Qatar Mohamed Bahrin Abu Bakar noted that the finale of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the National Day falling on the same day is a cause of pride, especially since the celebration comes at a time when the generous and hospitable people of Qatar host nationalities from all over the world, which constitutes a great moral importance.
In exclusive statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Abu Bakar hailed the successful organization of World Cup events, pointing out that Qatar’s success was not only linked to the local level, as it also received global, international and regional attention.
He congratulated HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the Qatari government and people on the occasion of the National Day.
He noted that the slogan ‘Our Unity Is the Source of Our Strength’ fits the National Day, especially since unity is a decisive and distinctive element in all efforts made by the State of Qatar with regard to peace and security, stressing that the State of Qatar will continue to adhere to this unity and solidarity expressed by its people in the face of all challenges.
HE the Ambassador expressed his great enthusiasm for the presence of fans and visitors coming from Brunei Darussalam to attend the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 experience, noting that the diplomatic relations between the two countries go back to around 31 years of friendship, which leaves that great appreciation in aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries in various bilateral and multilateral forums.
At the end of his statement to QNA, HE said that Qatar has worked actively to accurately implement its plans to transform itself into an advanced country through the four pillars of the National Vision under the leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, in addition to the Qatar National Vision 2030, expressing his admiration for the implementation of the development projects that were recently established at an impressive pace leading to the World Cup.
