Doha, December 09 (QNA) – This Music Affairs Center of the Ministry of Culture organized a symposium on the late musician Abdulaziz Nasser, entitled ‘Abdulaziz Nasser.. Dean of the Qatari Song’, as part of the activities of the National Day at Darb Al Saai.
Writer, journalist and author Ibrahim Al Mutawa along with singer Yusra Mohammed participated in the symposium that was moderated by Adel Abdullah.
Al Mutawa dealt with the most important parts of the life and career of the late musician Abdulaziz Nasser, indicating that he was able to present melodies that fit the vocal spaces of the singers who sang his melodies in Qatar and abroad, and left a rich artistic production as a composer that reflects genius and huge effort.
Al Mutawa also tackled the most important merits of the late musician, his musical innovations and his journey since the establishment of the Al Adwaa troupe in 1966, when he was thirteen years old, as the first band interested in theater and music in Qatar, pointing out that at the age of fourteen in 1967 he performed his first tune about Palestine by the poet Harun Hashim Rashid.
