Doha, December 11 (QNA) – Qatar Diabetes Association (QDA), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), represented by the Association’s Executive Director Dr. Abdullah Al Hamaq participated in the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) Conference in Lisbon, Portugal.

The conference is considered one of the important annual programs of the IDF, attracting many highly qualified experts globally and providing a scientific platform to discuss the latest and most recent scientific developments in the field of diabetes through lectures, seminars, and workshops. In addition, it provides practical information about diabetes care, education, and advocacy for people living with diabetes.

QDA, which has been an active member of the Federation since 1997, participated in this event along with 240 similar associations in 168 countries affiliated with the IDF.

In connection with the association’s achievements, Dr. Abdullah Al Hamaq gave a presentation on the importance of diabetes games in the education of children with diabetes.

QDA participated in several conference activities, including the 26th meeting of the General Assembly and the meeting of the Regional Council for the Middle East and North Africa Region of the IDF, among other events.

In addition, QDA had a booth in the exhibition accompanying the conference in the Global Village, where the services and achievements of the association were introduced, as well as the exchange of experiences among similar associations.
