Washington, December 22 (QNA) – International Monetary Fund (IMF) expected on Thursday that Ukraine’s external monetary needs next year would amount to no less than $39.5 billion.

Upon signing a memorandum of understanding with the Ukrainian government, IMF revealed that Ukraine could need a roughly USD 57 billion in the worst scenarios, including USD 3.5 billion as external monetary support, which reflects the high spending pressures, noting the contraction of the Ukrainian economy by 40.5 percent during the Q4 of 2022, and by 33 percent in 2022.
