Kuala Lumpur, December 22 (QNA) – Preparations have begun on Thursday for the 7th Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Medical Conference, which will be held in Doha from March 2-3, 2023.

This conference edition comes under the theme ‘Football and sports medicine – celebrating diversity,’ and will be organized in cooperation between the AFC, Qatar Football Association, and Aspetar hospital.

The AFC Medical Conference will gather renowned global experts in medicine and sports science from the AFC, FIFA, and continental federations in Europe, South America, Africa, and the International Olympic Committee.

Within its preparations for the 7th Medical Conference, the AFC held several video conference seminars. During the first seminar, the participants received updates on the latest anti-doping regulations from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). The second seminar was devoted mainly to understand the AFC Administration System (AFCAS) and the medical officers reporting system.

The fourth seminar was mainly focused on examining various case studies and a comprehensive understanding of the requirements of current medical administrative guidelines, policies, and procedures, while the fourth seminar dealt with legal regulations.

In the fifth seminar, representatives of the Competitions and Football Events Division (QFED) presented a detailed overview of the AFC competitions in the 2023/2024 season and discussed the different ways through which medical team representatives can be contacted.
