Muscat, December 24 (QNA) – The assets of the Islamic banking sector in the Sultanate of Oman increased to about OMR 6.4 billion, about 16.6 percent of the banking sector’s assets at the end of October, registering a 9.6 percent year-on-year growth rate.

Data issued by the Central Bank of Oman indicated that the Islamic banking sector’s financing recorded an increase of 10.7 percent, reaching about OMR 5.3 billion. The Islamic banks’ deposits recorded an increase of 9.7 percent, reaching about OMR 4.8 billion by the end of October. (QNA)
